The river Piave

Near the River Piave, the farming country area was influenced by the genuineness of the people  living it with their memories of the Great War and the passion of their farmer traditions, their welcoming spirit and their wild natural environment.
Tourists and visitors in general can relish typical foods like white asparagus or red radicchio of Treviso, and famous wines of the DOC Piave like Raboso and Prosecco.
It's possible to taste excellent wines also eating traditional snack or local sausages country-made.

A curiosity

Ernest Hemingway visit the Veneto area in 1918 during the Great War and in particular also the area near Piave. He visited Cortina d'Ampezzo with her wife Mary. During his journey to Venice and Cortina, he completed his work Di Là dal fiume e tra gli alberi in 1950.
